Homeroom Maths Week Quiz

Congratulations to Michael W and Jamie B from PA4 who won the year 7/8 category. Samantha B, Bhavisha D, Rachael L, Kate M and Ainsley K from CH2 won the years 9 – 12 category. Each winning homeroom received 5 cinema vouchers.

The competition consisted of a different set of questions for each day of the week. Results were very close with the lead changing frequently. Thanks to all those who entered the competition. It was a wonderful addition to our mathematics week for 2009.

Have Sum Fun 2009 Lower Secondary Results

Our lower secondary teams achieved pleasing results.  Team 1 came 22nd out of 41 teams.  We are all very proud of them. Have Sum Fun 2009 Upper Secondary Results

A big congratulations to Andrew B, Kurt C , Samantha B, Isaac M, Kate M, Sophie A, Bhavisha D, Sascha L, Savdeep K, Ryan G, Jasraj S andAlexandra T. The SSS Carramar team 1 scored the 4th highest score. A total of 39 teams entered. The results can be seen below. SSS Carramar scored an impressive 22 points. We really did have a lot of fun and continued our proud tradition of high achievement in this prestigious competition.

World Maths Day on March 4th.

**Take on the world** **Join in the celebration of numbers** ** Awesome Prizes**
In 2008 there were more than one million students from 160 countries who participated to correctly answer 182 455 169 questions.
All St Stephen's students from years 1 to 12 are automatically eligible to have a go... Just login to Mathletics.

Mathematics Club Years 7 to 12

The wait is over....Maths Club will recommence in Makaria on Wednesday Feb 18th, Room M1: 3.30 to 4.30 pm.... All students are welcome to come along and receive some help with their mathematics or just share in an afternoon of Mathematical XTC.....Makaria Computer Pod will be available for Mathletics.

The University of NSW International Mathematics Competition 2008

Some of our students from years 8 to 10 achieved outstanding results when they participated in the University of New South Wales International Competition and Assessment for Schools.  This annual competition receives approximately 1.5 million entries across Australia and 12 other countries.
